FIRM-LOCK 95-degree DCS PLATE GLIDING HOLES
The DCS is a versatile plate which can be applied
in a bridging mode (fragmentary supracondylar fracture component) and with
compression (simple supracondylar fracture component).
Any fractures of the articular block are first
addressed under direct vision using standard techniques of interfragmentary
compression. Alignment of the main shaft fragments can then be achieved
indirectly, using various aids before application of the plate.
Specifications
- Plates are made of 316L stainless steel and Titanium.
- Locking DCS Plate are available from 3 to 16 holes .
- The number of screw holes per plate length is maximized, without compromising plate strength. This allows an increased number of fixation points with a smaller incision.
- The two holes closest to the barrel accept 6.5 mm cancellous bone screws. This enhances stability by allowing additional fixation of the most distal condylar fracture fragments or fixation of the most proximal sub-trochanteric fracture fragments.
- LCP holes in the DCS side plate allow angulation of 4.5 mm cortex Screws, 5 mm Locking Screws and axial compression across a shaft fracture.
Indications
The Locking DCS Plate is indicated for the following fractures of the
proximal distal:
·
Intercondylar fractures
·
Supracondylar fractures
·
Uni-condylar fractures
The Locking DCS Plate
is indicated for the following fractures of the proximal femur:
